Emily Cohen is an environmental studies enthusiast who volunteers with The Persaud Foundation as a science communication writer. She holds a B.A. in Environmental Sciences & Political Science from University of California, Santa Barbara, & an M.A. in Climate & Society from Columbia University.

In addition to being a volunteer with The Persaud Foundation, she is also a volunteer with GlacierHub, where she covers stories about glaciers, climate science, & mountain communities. She is the primary writer for our "Disasters at Sea" article series.
